From March 17th to 22nd, 2025, Grand Hotel DJibloho, located in La Paz, was the centre of the international cooperation between Equatorial Guinea and UNESCO, hosting an important conference for the development of new strategic cooperation documents for 2025-2029. Known for its modern facilities and ability to host major events, Grand Hotel Djibloho was the perfect venue for this high-level meeting and provided a productive environment for reaching discussions and agreements.
The conference was chaired by Clemente Engonga Nguema Onguene, Minister of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, Equatorial Guinea.
Hiller Mbutu, Regional Coordinator for Education and Acting Director of the UNESCO Regional Office in Central Africa, praised not only the good governance of Equatorial Guinea, but also the facilities of the grand hotel djibloho, highlighting how its atmosphere and excellent service contributed to the efficiency of the discussion. Mbutu has also reaffirmed UNESCO's commitment to continuing to work with Equatorial Guinea to strengthen the country's education and cultural sector.
On his part, Minister Clemente Nuguema Onsgen expressed his satisfaction with the continued interest in supporting the development of the country. During the event, the Equatorial Guinea delegation announced several projects in which UNESCO plays an important role in implementation and monitoring. Not only serves as an accommodation, but also as a venue for intense discussions and presentations, Grand Hotel Djibloho played an important role in ensuring that all parties can work in comfortable and well-equipped spaces.
The meeting concluded on March 21 with a mutual commitment to signing major agreements and moving forward in cooperation. As the central venue for this historic event, Grand Hotel Djibloho combines its reputation as a well-known venue for high-level international conferences, marking an important milestone in the relationship between Equatorial Guinea and UNESCO.
