    Private international airline Goldstar Air, Ghanaian and United States registered company with an issued Air Carrier Licence (ACL/N-SCH No. 0239) from the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) to operate passenger and cargo flights across West Africa and intercontinental routes, will not only reshape the aviation industry in Ghana and globally, but also redefine the role of air travel as a catalyst for cultural diplomacy and international engagement. With the introduction of Goldstar Air’s destinations entertainment festivals, the airline is pioneering a concept that intertwines global travel with immersive cultural experiences, that will make Ghana tap into the global tourism $10.9 Trillion income stream.

    The airline’s 24-hour world-class strategic integration of entertainment festivals at key destinations is set to revolutionize how nations engage in soft power projection, while simultaneously creating a sustainable tourism economy that benefits both local communities and international travelers. These festivals will not be isolated events but rather a strategic series of cultural showcases that align with peak travel seasons, international holidays, and cultural heritage months, ensuring maximum impact and participation. This innovative model of aviation tourism will transform routine air travel into a gateway for exploration, celebration, and cultural exchange.

    Goldstar Air has sought for international intervention to look into the issuance of the airline’s wide-body aircraft Safety Certificate (AOC), as the process is above halfway and it has been over eight years that the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority is not ready to get a qualified third-party to complete the remaining phases of the certification process, for which an administrative fee will be charged to Goldstar Air to pay and the airline is ready and willing to pay. For wide-body aircraft, the qualifications and requirements are more rigorous due to the complexity and scale of operations. There is no time to waste in starting the 24-hour economy to create over two million direct and indirect job opportunities for Ghanaians. The Ghanaian youth cannot wait any longer in the ghettos, they need their well-paying jobs and a better future.

    The airline destinations entertainment festivals will leverage the richness of African culture as the foundation for global engagement. Each festival will serve as a dynamic platform for cultural export, showcasing the continent’s music, dance, fashion, culinary arts, storytelling, and visual arts to the world. Goldstar Air is uniquely positioned to deliver these experiences through its direct connectivity between Ghana and major global cities including Washington, London, Dubai, Toronto, Guangzhou and others, for the airline’s Project $1 Trillion Foreign Reserves Visionary Blueprint.

    The festivals will be strategically located across Goldstar Air’s destinations, creating a network of interconnected cultural celebrations that align with the unique cultural assets of each host city and region. This will ensure a broad representation of African culture, tailored to resonate with diverse international audiences. In Washington, the festival will highlight African-American and Pan-African collaborations; in London, it will emphasize diaspora narratives and fusion arts; in Dubai, it will blend African heritage with Middle Eastern aesthetics; and in Guangzhou, it will focus on Afro-Asian cultural exchanges.

The Jamaican leg of Goldstar’s entertainment festival will include curated food expos showcasing jerk cuisine, Ital dishes, and rum tastings, drawing thousands of culinary tourists and music lovers. In Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, the focus will shift to Carnival-style festivities infused with calypso and soca performances, steel pan orchestras, masquerade bands, and vibrant parades. These experiences will attract global revelers, turn local artists into international sensations, and project the Caribbean’s artistic brilliance far beyond its shores.

    Strategic partnerships will be instrumental in the successful execution of the festivals. Goldstar Air will collaborate with ministries of tourism, cultural affairs, foreign affairs, and youth development in host countries to ensure policy support, resource mobilization, and institutional coordination. Private sector partners, including media houses, logistics companies, and creative agencies, will be engaged to provide backing, promotional amplification, and technical expertise.     Goldstar Air, the wings of Ghana and belly of America will promote local languages as a special initiative by taking to the skies with five Ghanaian dialects, such as Ewe, Akan, Hausa, Ga-Dangme and Dagbani on board the flights to and from all destinations. The airline is also determined to collaborate with some institutions to take the Ghanaian languages internationally and create a platform for people to connect with language learners and teachers online, as part of the airline’s over two million direct and indirect job opportunities for the youth in the country.

    The airline’s 24-hour special initiative named Home Sweet Home will focus on discounted child fares for Ghanaian families in the diaspora to take advantage of it, to enable them to bring their children to visit Ghana at least twice a year so that their kids will be thinking of acquiring Ghanaian citizenship. Also making the country more attractive to them, so they can collaborate significantly with their local communities to boost development and Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the future for a better Ghana. This initiative will also make the kids more empathetic towards cultural differences, helping them adapt to changing situations and it will even shape their linguistic development.

    The long-term vision for the destinations entertainment festivals will serve as year-round centers for cultural production, training, and exhibition, providing a steady pipeline of content and talent for the festivals. These centers will also support regional touring circuits, artist residencies, and cultural diplomacy missions, that extend the impact of the festivals beyond their seasonal timelines. They will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including performance halls, recording studios, maker spaces, and co-working hubs, to support the creative economy and foster innovation.

    The key innovation of Goldstar Air’s Destination Festival initiative is its commitment to sustainability. Each destination will implement eco-friendly practices, from solar-powered stages to zero-waste policies, setting a benchmark for green entertainment events. The festivals will also prioritize community engagement, offering free workshops for local youth in music production, screenwriting, and acting. These initiatives will ensure long-term benefits beyond the festival dates, nurturing the next generation of artists and technicians.

    Mr. Bannerman emphasized that the airline’s entertainment initiative, from a policy perspective, aligns with national and continental development agendas, including the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Ghana’s Black Star Experience. By leveraging its aviation capabilities to drive cultural tourism, the airline contributes to multiple development pillars such as economic growth, social inclusion, cultural preservation, environmental sustainability, and regional integration. These alignments position the festivals as strategic tools for advancing policy goals while delivering tangible benefits to citizens and stakeholders.

    Goldstar Air, the wings of Ghana and the belly of America, with its 24-hour service, is projecting a fleet of more than one hundred (100) modern aircraft serving a network of over ninety (90) key business and leisure destinations. This will represent a massive investment and a game changer for the Ghanaian music and movie industry, supporting sustainable economic development in the country. The airline aims to be recognized among the top one hundred (100) companies in Africa and believes that profitability will enable it to become a pivotal economic tool for Ghana.

    Ghana’s movie and music industry will benefit greatly from the global in-flight entertainment market, which is expanding due to the rising number of air passengers globally. Goldstar Air will promote Kumawood movies and arrange international events to showcase Ghanaian talent. This is part of the airline’s job creation initiative, aiming to generate over two million direct and indirect job opportunities for Project $1 Trillion foreign reserve.

    Kumawood classical films and Ghanaian classical highlife and gospel music will be part of Goldstar Air’s in-flight entertainment, providing passengers with a diverse selection of movies and music videos. This initiative will significantly benefit content producers by generating new revenue from previously abandoned productions. These classic materials have the potential to tap into the global entertainment income stream of $2.83 Trillion. The airline also plans to honor Ghana’s living legends.

    Goldstar Air’s initiative to globalize Ghanaian music and movies, including highlife, gospel, and Kumawood productions will boost the airline in-flight entertainment offering. This will be a key driver of inflight advertising market value and passengers should expect high-quality entertainment. As more people travel with Goldstar Air, the airline will reach a larger audience for inflight advertising, allowing for targeted marketing based on demographics and regions.

    The largest international airlines sometimes pay more than $90,000 for a license to show a single movie over a two or three-month period. These airlines often feature up to 100 movies at a time, compared to just 10 or 12 two decades ago. In the United States, airlines typically pay a flat fee each time a movie is watched by a passenger, and some spend up to $20 million per year on content.

    Goldstar Air will invest in new inflight entertainment and new advertising opportunities will emerge, creating additional revenue streams beyond ticket sales. The airline inflight advertising will become a lucrative source of income and a new way to engage passengers effectively.

    Inflight entertainment is available on almost all wide-body aircraft, while some narrow-body aircraft are not equipped with any form of in-flight entertainment, this is mainly due to storage and weight limits. The Boeing 757 was the first narrow-body aircraft to widely feature both audio and video inflight entertainment.

    Goldstar Air’s 24/7/365 service will operate flights with installed personal televisions (PTVs) for every passenger on all long-haul routes. These PTVs will be embedded in seatbacks or placed in armrests for front-row and first-class seats.

    The airline will also introduce direct broadcast satellite television, enabling passengers to watch live TV broadcasts on selected aircraft. Additionally, video games will be available through the PTV equipment. Goldstar Air will provide closed captioning to accommodate deaf and hard-of-hearing passengers.

    Goldstar Air has already sponsored and promoted various Ghanaian musicians and movie producers, and will soon offer them contracts as brand ambassadors. This initiative will help them earn extra income and gain international exposure. Brand ambassadors will receive a 50% discount for companies wishing to use their services in advertising on the airline’s inflight magazine and digital screens. This opportunity can also serve as a form of insurance and retirement savings for the artists.

    Goldstar Air is proud to be part of the annual sponsors of Our Music Festival in Ghana, initiated by internationally acclaimed Ghanaian producer, songwriter, and singer Mr. Ekow Alabi Savage, based in Berlin, Germany since 1978, along with Mr. Aryee Brown.

    Renowned musicians such as Pat Thomas, K.K. Kabobo, and Akablay are among the regular performers at Our Music Festival, alongside the Makcabo Band and the Efee Noko Traditional Band. These performances feature a rich blend of made-in-Ghana rhythms and contemporary music with strong traditional roots. The festival has become one of Ghana’s major entertainment events in December, embraced by many home-grown musicians as part of their Christmas and New Year festivities.

    Ho, the capital of Volta Region, 24-hour industrial zone viability will be a key economic generator for the region. Hajj flights to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and charter flights will unlock new opportunities and enhance regional connectivity.

    Wa, the capital of Upper West Region, the Agrarian City will be experiencing Charter flights which will support tourism, local business expansion, new opportunities for agribusiness and attract new companies to the area. Hajj flights to and from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will further open more doors for the region.

    Accra, the capital of Greater Accra Region, will operate flights to destinations such as Washington, Dubai, Lagos, Toronto, Monrovia, Conakry, Abidjan, Guangzhou, Dakar, Banjul, Rhode Island, London, and Freetown. Additional cities under consideration include Miami (Florida), Atlanta (Georgia), Chicago (Illinois), Glasgow (Scotland), Houston (Texas), and many more.
