A preliminary report from Brazil shows that the Golboeing 737 Max 8 has halted takeoff from Rio de Janeiro after hitting a vehicle on the runway.
The incident occurred around 22:00 on February 11th as the aircraft departed for Forteleza.
Brazilian media quoted airport operator Riogaleao and said the incident included a maintenance vehicle.
Airport operators say no officials were injured and all passengers disembarked the jet.
Brazilian research agency Senipa adds that the scene has been preserved to investigate the situation.
Brazilian Publication O Globo says the event involves Flight G31674.
Video footage circulating on social media is allegedly captured by passengers while taking off, and slamming was heard during acceleration, suggesting the aircraft was heading towards the right side of the runway.
