UK Company Global Airlines has moved the Airbus A380 to Tarbes Airport in France, but claims that the jets are not stored.
The Maltese registered aircraft flew from Dresden to Tarbes on July 16th.
Tarbes is used as a long-term storage facility and is a specialized tarmac aerosave location, but Global Airlines says the existence of the A380 is temporary.
The jet has completed its latest service and will be parked “until we head to the next phase of intense maintenance.”
Global Airlines says the decision “makes perfectly reasonable” because it is familiar with the Tarbes team.
“It won't take long for (an aircraft) to be in the clouds again on their way to their next adventure,” he added.
Global conducted transatlantic flights from Manchester and Glasgow to New York JFK during May. The A380 is run by wet lease specialist Hi Fly, and the aircraft also flew to Berlin and Barcelona.
