The Czech Republic's Embassy of Ghana will host its first major tourism promotion event in Prague, aiming to increase the country's visibility in Central Europe. The high-level initiative held at Maros Transkabeseda attracted over 30 Czech tour operators, government officials and tourism stakeholders from both countries. Organized in partnership with the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), the event featured Ghana's cultural and heritage attractions, including UNESCO sites, festivals and beach destinations, as part of a drive to attract travelers in emerging European markets.
The event, led by Ambassador Doris Adzo Denyo Brese, representative of GTA Associate CEO Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, included presentations in two flagship campaigns, “December in Ghana” and “The Black Star Experience.” The performance of the University of Ghana Dance Ensemble highlighted Ghanaian culture, but practical information on travel and visas was also shared. The campaign marks Ghana's first direct tourism marketing efforts in the Czech Republic, setting the stage for similar engagement in Central and Eastern Europe, along with plans to expand beyond Poland.
