The Ghanaian Parliament has approved visa exemption agreements with four countries: Mozambique, Samme, Principe, Colombia and the Dominican Federation. The move aims to support close international cooperation in areas such as tourism, education, trade, energy, and agriculture.
According to Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Alfred O'Cau Vanderpuyer, the agreement is designed to strengthen multilateral relations and improve mobility between partner countries. Foreign Minister Samuel Okdozet Abrakwa said the visa exemption is expected to strengthen tourism and trade links while supporting long-term socioeconomic growth through expanding bilateral involvement, confirming there are no immediate revenue losses.
