German leisure airline Condor will expand its long-haul service to South Africa for the 2025/2026 European winter season, increasing connections to major destinations. Starting November 1, 2025, Condor has upgraded the Frankfurt -Cape Town route from five flights a week to daily service, reflecting strong demand from European travelers. The airline will also support both business and leisure travel to the South African economic hub, rising from the current two flights, up the routes in Frankfurt and Johannesburg from the current two.
Both routes are operated by Condor's Airbus A330-900NEO and offer a modern, fuel-efficient travel experience with 310 seats across business, premium economy and economy class. Additional capabilities are expected to increase connectivity between Germany and South Africa, a market that is important for European visitors. As Germany leaves a key source market behind, expanding the schedule will support the growth of tourism in South Africa, providing more opportunities for seamless multi-desting itineraries across the region.
