Rugby star George North has returned to Australia in time for the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour, which will begin on June 28th in Perth. The sportsman landed earlier this week and was ready to build enthusiasm among the locals before the tournament began.
After launching Australia's escape, North meets Brisbane Wallabee icon Tim Hollan. They embarked on a picturesque exploration of Queensland's capital by bike and kayak, closing with a friendly joke about beer at a felony brewery. He even hit two yoga poses and two yoga poses with beer handed over during his quirky beer yoga sessions.
The rugby star jumped into Perth for a beachside photo manipulation at Leighton Beach, wearing his beloved red and white kit and swinging his surfboard around.
Embracing the Australian lifestyle, North has had the opportunity to have an exhilarating zipline adventure near Optus Stadium with a Matagarup zip+ mountain climbing experience.
His Australian trip continued with toast at Faber Vineyard in the famous Swan Valley Wine Region, greeted fans at Opus Stadium, the venue for the opening game of Friday's tour.
“I think the 2025 tour promises a big moment. Everyone in the house will support the lion and make sure they go forever,” the rugby champion declared.
“It felt like a great time to experience the country in a different way, not just as a player but as a traveler,” he said.
He emphasizes the importance of discovering more than Australian arenas to other Brits, “it emphasizes offering.”
“For Brits who are thinking about traveling, just choose that. An Australian epic.”
Andrew Boxal, regional general manager of tourism in the UK and Northern Europe, squealed with enthusiasm.
“It was a joy to show George the sights of Brisbane and Perth. We encourage all Lion fans heading to Australia to enjoy everything they can do in Australia beyond the rugby pitch.”
