Namibia Wildlife Resort (NWR) has issued travel advisories on fuel shortages at several major resorts, including Harari and Okaukyujo in Etosha National Park, Sesriem Campground in Namibnaukluf Park, /ai- /ais hotsprings & spa. Visitors are urged to refuel in nearby towns before entering these remote destinations. This can disrupt travel plans as onsite fuel is currently unavailable.
The shortage comes amid a revival of Namibia's tourism sector, with the national parks increasing number of visitors. Travelers heading to Etosha National Park are recommended to refuel with Outjo or Tsumeb, while visitors to Sesriem should plan a stop in Solitaire or Maltahöhe. Keetmanshoop or Karasburg is the closest option for anyone traveling to /ail /ais Hotsprings & Spa. The NWR does not provide a timeline to restore fuel availability, so visitors must plan accordingly for a smooth journey.
