FlySafair has announced a new domestic route connecting Cape Town with Hoedspruit, which will be released on October 2, 2025. Flights will be open three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. With a one-way fare of R1,570, the new link will support tourism to one of the nation's leading wildlife areas and complement Frey Safaa's existing Cape Town-Mbombella service.
The enhanced route connectivity is as South Africa sees a new recovery both domestic and international air travel. Hoedspruit and Mbombela serve as important entry points for the central and south Kruger National Parks, respectively, and this development is of particular value for the safari tourism sector. International ties have also expanded, with Qantas reopening flights between Johannesburg and Perth in December 2025, and Air France reintroducing the seasonal Cape Town-Paris route during peak summers, adding thousands of inbound seats, and increasing South Africa's global accessibility.
