The flight attendant revealed clothes that he “never wears” on the plane.
There's nothing better than the feeling of boarding a flight knowing you're heading to a new destination. Many people like to travel or go on vacation.
Some travelers enjoy their flight and watch it as part of the experience, while others are nervous about flying, while others want to travel as quickly as possible to reach their destination. No matter how you feel, it's important that everyone considers what to wear while traveling.
People want to feel comfortable on planes, especially on long or international flights, so as pointed out by Sher Dallas, who was a flight attendant for six years, the choice of clothing can make a difference. People who work on planes and support passengers know that it's not a good idea to see what kind of clothes they wear.
Not only is it not the most comfortable, but certain types of clothing can also pose health or safety risks to the plane. Speaking on the Tiktok video, Sher said:
1) Rompers/Playsuits
She said, “This is a double no. I'll never wear a romper. I'll never go to the bathroom. That means I'll go to the floor, I'll get into the pee and I won't wipe it all too often.”
Sher “want to know” an average reading of how much urine reaches the plane's toilet floor every hour of a flight, adding that he claims “probably far more than you think.”
According to Conde Nast Traveler, all surfaces of airport toilets are “to be cleaned with disinfectant and deodorant on every arrival and during night layovers,” but “there is no actual law governing the way airlines need to board their flights and maintain a car wash.”
The travel source shared that the cleanliness of the bathrooms during flight are handled by flight attendants who check that the toilets are in stock and tidy. It has revealed that there is a “generally a 30-minute protocol,” so flight attendants regularly attend the toilets, making sure there is enough toilet paper, and ensure that no one is “idling in the toilet.”
2) Shorts
Next, Shale said: “I don't wear shorts either. The number of times dirty diapers are changed to seats is amazing. They vomit, people are tainted and they're sitting in their seats.”
3) Flop Flop
The flight attendant then spoke about Havaiana Sandals from Revolve. These shoes are essentially flip-flops.
She admitted that Habaina is “really cute,” but emphasized that she “never travels in sandals before.” Cher insisted that the airplane's carpet is “filthy and dirty”, that people “vomit” and that they have pets and “scrub bare feet.”
For this reason, the airplane staff explained, “I don't want my toes to be kept out of wide exposure to it.” Which did the airline crew say? The cleaner team is given “about 8 minutes to wipe off a 180-seat plane during a flight” and a typical team of eight cleaners, two down the aisle, while others clean the gallery and toilets, giving the cleaner “about 6 seconds to clean each seat.”
4) Tank top
After that, Shale shared that she would never wear a tank top or tube top herself, as you get very cold and think “it's always better to make mistakes on the humble side when it comes to travel.” Also, tank tops don't offer as much movement as other types of tops, so they may not be that comfortable to wear on flights.
5) Jumper alone
An experienced flight attendant finished her Tiktok video and said, “At the end, I would never wear a sweater or sweatshirt without anything underneath it. I had a real medical emergency as someone was overheating and we had to take off her top and she had to sit in her bra in the cabin.”
Shale said layers are “very important when flying.” According to Rosen Airlines, the aircraft's cabins are “notorious” with cabins temperatures typically range from 21.7 to 23.9 degrees Fahrenheit), about 71 to 75 degrees (21.7 to 23.9 degrees Celsius), and “opposes the freezing environment that impacts the cabin as the plane rises.”
