ARLINGTON, Va. (CNN) – Ronald Reagan received a close call near Washington National Airport on Friday.

That involved airplanes to Minneapolis and passenger planes to US Air Force jets.

A crash warning warning alarm sounded in the cockpit of Delta Air Line flight Friday afternoon as Air Force jets passed at 800 feet at over 350 mph, according to tracking data.

Two pilots, three flight attendants and 131 passengers were on the delta plane.

In a statement, a Delta Air Lines spokesperson emphasized the importance of safety and said that flight crews followed the procedures for piloting the aircraft as directed.

There were no immediate comments about the close call from the US Air Force.

The near call came just south of the airport near the location where an American Airlines jet and an Army helicopter collided in January, killing 67 people.

The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating.
