One swap that it suggests is to visit Utrecht instead of Amsterdam – the cities are very similar, but there are fewer tourists in Utrecht. The city is roughly the same as the Dutch capital. It has a beautiful canal and a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere without some of the busier major cities aspects found in Amsterdam.

At 112 meters, it remains the tallest church tower in the Netherlands. Domtoren is open all year round and the views of Utrecht are worth seeing every season.
