One European destination is welcomed as one of the most affordable places to seek a pint of beer. The online holiday provider's Travel Republic has appointed Dalaman in Türkiye (formerly Turkey) as the second most affordable location in Europe. The city of Dalaman serves domestic beer for just £2.08. Imported beer can be a bit expensive at £3.28.
But it's not just about beer prices, but about attracting people to the southwest coast of Türkiye. Dalaman experiences sunlight weather between spring and summer, with temperature dials ranging from 21c in April to 35c in August.
Tourism company TUI emphasized that Dalaman is the perfect location for sandy beaches along the turquoise waters.
The coastline is bustling with restaurants, bars and shops, with mountainous areas that allow travelers to explore historic sites.
One such site is Marmaris Castle, built in 1522 by Sultansleiman the Great.
Inside, avid history enthusiasts can explore the museum, while those with scenic views can head to the top of the castle.
However, Marmaris Castle is far west of the country and takes more than an hour to get there, so it takes time to get there.
Back in Dalaman, in the city centre there is a colorful bazaar where market participants can hug along with the stole holders like locals.
It's about 30 minutes by taxi nearby and is Gesek's Sunday market, best known for its leather clothing, ceramics and clothing.
The family-run store sells all kinds of products from Turkish rugs, tablecloths and ceramic vases.
There will then be a Turtle Rehabilitation Centre in Iztus Beach, Dayan, for nature lovers. A taxi ride about 30 minutes from Dalaman helps people at the Turtle Rehabilitation Center cross the sand and into the sea.
Dalaman offers lovely beaches, a lively atmosphere and nearby attractions, but there is one cheap European destination for beer.
According to the Travel Republic, Europe's number one destination for cheap pints is Alicante, Spain.
In Alicante, imported beer prices start at £2.90, while local Spanish beer costs £2.07, which is more penny than Turkish beer.
