Ethiopia's Ministry of Tourism has launched Visit Ethiopia, a new digital platform aimed at simplifying the travel planning process for visitors. Introduced in Addis Ababa on July 8th, the platform serves as a centralized hub where tourists can book accommodation, tours, transportation and related services, streamlining the end-to-end travel experience. The initiative supports the broader government push for digitalising tourism under the country's Digital Ethiopia 2025 strategy.
Developed in collaboration with Information Network Security Administration (INSA), the platform also benefits from cooperation with key institutions such as Ethiopian Airlines, immigration and customs. Tourism Minister Seramawit Kassa highlighted the potential of a platform to strengthen the broader tourism value chain while linking travelers with Ethiopia's diverse attractions. Authorities view the platform as a strategic tool to increase accessibility and competitiveness in the regional tourism market.
