Dubai Emirates Airlines (EK) will expand its mainland China network by launching daily non-stop flights from Dubai (DXB) to Hangzhou (HGH) from July 30, 2025. This new route strengthens connectivity and economic ties between the UAE and the Chinese innovation hub.
The service is run by the Boeing 777-300ER and connects travelers to 38 European, 22 Africa and 11 Middle Eastern destinations via Dubai (DXB). Hangzhou (HGH), a Tech Powerhouse, offers unique opportunities for passenger and freight operations.

New flights to Emirates Bay
Emirates (EK) will introduce daily non-stop flights between Dubai (DXB) and Hangzhou (HGH) and mark the fifth gateway in mainland China, along with Beijing (PEK), Guangzhou (CAN), Shanghai (PVG) and Shenzhen (SZX).
Open on the 3-class Boeing 777-300ER, the service offers 2,478 seats.
The Flight EK310 will depart Dubai (DXB) at 0940 and arrive at Hangzhou (HGH) at 2200. The EK311 return flight leaves Hangzhou (HGH) on 0010 and lands in Dubai (DXB) on 0455.
These timings allow for seamless connectivity to 38 European cities, including 22 African destinations, including Istanbul (IST), Barcelona (BCN), Cairo (CAI) and Johannesburg (JNB), 11 Middle Eastern locations, and Brazil and Argentina.

The expansion is consistent with Emirates’ global growth strategy, enhancing access to East Asian markets and supporting bilateral relations between the UAE and China. The airline has recognised local government support in establishing this route with the aim of increasing global connectivity.

Global Innovation Hub
Hangzhou (HGH), the capital of Z Jiang Province, is a major centre for innovation, e-commerce and advanced manufacturing. The city, home to Alibaba Group, is expected to drive China’s digital economy and surpass AED 70 billion by 2026.

Enhanced passenger and freight services
Serving the Dubai (DXB)-hangzhou (HGH) route, the Boeing 777-300er offers eight first class suites, 42 angle flat business class seats and 304 economy class seats.
Passengers enjoy ICE, Emirates’ award-winning infolit entertainment system, featuring over 6,500 channels in over 40 languages, including Chinese, and locally inspired dishes featuring popular Chinese and desserts. The aircraft configuration ensures a premium travel experience for business and leisure travelers.
Emirates Sky Cargo is leveraging new routes to strengthen trade ties between China and the United Arab Emirates to strengthen Hangzhou’s role as a major freight and e-commerce hub.
The service supports efficient transport of high value goods such as electronic devices, pharmaceuticals and fresh food, reducing the time it takes to markets for Africa, Latin America and the Gulf Cooperation Council.
The weekly 49 flights to mainland China include two daily flights to Guangzhou (CAN) and Shenzhen (SZX), including two daily services to Beijing (PEK) and Shanghai (PVG), as well as the new Hangzhou (HGH) route, which strengthens its commitment to the Belt and Road Initiative.
