Egypt reaffirmed the growing influence in the African aviation industry at the 73rd Airport Council (ACI Africa) conference and exhibition currently underway in Arusha, Tanzania. The event, which will be held from April 24th to 30th, 2025, brings together top airport executives, policymakers and international aviation organizations across the continent.
Egypt is represented by a high-level delegation from Egyptian holding companies for air voyages and Egypt, led by Chairman Eng. Iman Faussie Arab. The delegation is actively involved in all the Technology, Security, Environment, Economics, Innovation and Personnel Committees marking the company's most comprehensive engagement in its annual event so far.

Eng. The Arabs also participated in the 73rd ACI African Board of Directors and the Africa Airport CEOs Forum. As a keynote speaker on the highly anticipated “African Airport CEO Panel,” he joined prominent figures including ACI World Director Justin Elbatch and many African Aviation Leaders, discussing key topics such as operational excellence in airport management, digital transformation, sustainability and innovation.
“This engagement underscores Egypt's commitment to building stronger regional partnerships and sharing aviation management expertise,” the Arab said. “Our full participation in all committees reflects our true willingness to expand collaboration and strengthen Egypt's role as the central hub of African Airlines.”
This conference comes as Egypt is actively working to strengthen its international aviation profile. According to the Arabs, there is currently discussion on opening a regional ACI Africa office in Cairo. It is an initiative that solidifies Egypt's strategic role in the continental air transport ecosystem and supports broader development and integration efforts between African countries.
This year, the ACI Africa Conference, hosted by the Tanzania Airport Authority, is the largest gathering on the continent for professionals in the airport industry. The event will be held under the theme of “Utilizing sustainable tourism for aviation and economic prosperity towards a more environmentally sustainable future,” and focuses on balancing economic growth and environmental conservation, promoting innovation in airport operations and promoting policies for sustainable development.
The weekly forum features interactive sessions, leadership roundtables, and major international exhibitions featuring the latest advances in aviation technologies and solutions.
