Passengers who jump to Türkiye at any time are asked to check before their trip. It comes when airline EasyJet issues a message to all the holiday makers about what they need to sort before they go to the airport.
You may need more than a passport or ID card to pass through border security and continue your journey or holiday. The rules vary depending on where you go. It's best to ensure that not assuming that all airports are exactly the same.
EasyJet passengers are urged to know exactly what documents they need to bring when traveling to Türkiye. The update states: “Before you fly to Turkey, make sure your passport is valid and meet the entry requirements indicated to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and check local consul advice such as the FCDO website.
“Most EU citizens or UK passport holders do not usually require a visa for tourists staying for less than 90 days in 180 days. However, there are exceptions such as service passport holders and overseas UK citizens, so check out our advice before you travel.”
In addition to checking the documents, additional security measures have been applied to flights from Turkey and to Tunisia, Jordan, Morocco and Egypt. These additional checks will be performed at the gate before boarding.
You don't need to come to the airport earlier than you see in the confirmation email. However, airline bosses recommend that you arrive at the gate as soon as it is announced.
Get the latest travel advice directly from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If you are a frequent taberner in a particular country, we recommend that you consider signing up for a free email alert that will inform you of second changes, including entry requirements and safety and security risks.
Travel insurance may be void if you object to advice from the Foreign, Federal and Development Office (FCDO). So, with that being said, it's best to make sure you're fully up to date with any development and avoid landing in situations where you could potentially sacrifice more money.
