Another week, another Bermie ruling that allows a full scumbag to stay in the UK despite being foreigner and breaking the law. This time we know the county drug dealers — those you know — who avoided being deported after the judge determined that they didn't pose “current” or “actual risks to public security.”
What are you? Drugs gang mastermind Stephen Gomez was sentenced in 2020 for providing “a large number of Class A drugs to the Portsmouth area” for eight and a half years. However, the 30-year-old from Cape Verde was able to convince the judge of his Portuguese father.
Well, that may be ridiculous, but the verdict comes from last-minute evidence that was not presented in three previous hearings in the Home Office's attempt to deport him. After the three previous hearings, it makes me want to ask why he hadn't been kicked out yet, but hey, what do I know?
Arrived in the UK in 1998, Gomez played a “major” role in the drug network known as “Justin Line,” which sells cocaine and heroin in Portsmouth. In April 2022, then secretary of the family, Pretty Patel, issued Gomez with an expulsion order.
The Home Office has admitted that his father is Portuguese, but stressed that drug dealers should still be deported after being convicted of a “serious drug crime.”
However, the Court of Appeals has established a “incredibly high” threshold for the deportation of appellants. Explaining the higher test, Judge Lane said, “We could only be deported if it poses actual risks to public security.”
Hoham. And I thought we left this all after Brexit. I'm stupid. Until we begin to crack down on foreign criminals, our country and our borders are simply not safe.
I hope you're listening, Mr. Starmer, but I'm not even doubted.

It looks like a terrible Chagos Islands deal will go further and will cost billions of pounds to rent what we currently own over the next decades. Understanding this economics, the Labour Government has stated that former Tory leader Ian Duncan Smith is “one of the biggest dull people the government has designed managers.” It gently puts it down. I'll predict future problems. We will wait until China holds an armed takeover with the support of its regional ally, Mauritius.

Last week, the Express bared the scale of Kiel's starry migration crisis and conducted an astonishing new analysis. The illegal arrival figures of 4,586 people in March are the highest ever recorded in the first six months of the calendar year. In fact, three of the top 10 months that have arrived most have been the prime minister of the Labour leader.
Officials claim there was a much more “red day” if crossings could be considered due to more calm conditions than before. Of course they do. It has nothing to do with the fact that Labour has cancelled the Rwanda agreement that may have helped prevent illegal arrivals! As a result, we are considered a softer touch than ever before.

There aren't many people with terminal illnesses, but at least after Donald Trump's tariff announcement last week, I don't have to worry about my pension tanking. Little mercy!

The RSPCA is very wisely seeking the return of a dog license. As a dog owner, I have been seeking this for years. Sadly, there are still too many people who buy dogs for the wrong reasons – status and machismo come to mind, but don't train them or have the resources to take care of them
That's evidenced by the fact that thousands of pet owners have not yet installed the animals on their digital chips or that they cannot maintain records a year after the new rules come into effect. Paid licenses will make a few idiots think once again about getting a pet, making it easier for authorities to enforce the infringement.
The truth is that it's not going to work to expect people to take personal responsibility in our ultra-free society. Too many people don't care. This means that many aspects of the community we took for granted, such as the disintegration of decent and polite behavior. Irritable dog owners (and don't get me wrong, there are millions of great dog lovers out there) are just one aspect. We need to start working on the anti-social UK to address one issue at a time, and dog licensing will be a good start.
And maybe we should start looking at children's licenses too!

Thank you so much for your kind comments after revealing my new mobility scooter last week. Remember, if I can do this, you can!

It seems we had days of sunlight, but we're already in a wildfire in Dorset. More than 80 firefighters spent seven hours tackling the devastating heath flames that reminded me of a volcanic eruption at Upton Heath Nature Reserve near the Pool.
Met Office has issued Amber Wildfire alerts nationwide due to unseasonably warm temperatures (no, I wasn't particularly aware of them either). Anyone wondering if we should expect a locust plague next?
