Delta Airlines has announced the launch of its first non-stop service from Marrakech, Morocco to Atlanta from Marrakech, Morocco, starting October 25, 2025. The airline will introduce seasonal daily services to Accra, Ghana from December 1, 2025, providing peak holiday demand. The Atlanta Marrakech route operates three times a week using the Boeing 767-400ER, while the Atlanta Axela Service is provided by the Airbus A330-900NEO. These additions enhance the Delta's African footprint, providing greater connectivity and seamless access to travelers connected from over 125 US cities.
Delta is also enhancing the passenger experience with high speed and free Wi-Fi throughout the international fleet, including these new routes. The expansion is in line with improvements at the Delta Atlanta Hub, and strengthens its role as a key gateway for travel to Africa. Travel experts and industry stakeholders support the benefit of increasing accessibility between North America and Africa, and these routes are strategically timed to peak demand. The move reflects a growing interest in African destinations for both business and leisure travel, contributing to the wider expansion of air connectivity in the region.
