Delta Air Lines announced a special aircraft colouring over the weekend that marks the airline's 100th year of operation.
The colouring was revealed on one of the Delta Airbus A321neos during a gala event at the recently renovated Delta Flight Museum in Atlanta. It features “details of the dive, bold 100 emblems” and “first ever silver super graphic” of a career, says Delta.
Delta shares images in the same coloring on the A350-900, which has not yet been distributed to its carrier.
The company that was supposed to be Delta was founded in March 1925 as Hafda Landdusters, a subsidiary of an early air crop dust company. I first posted an email.
100 years later, Delta is a leading global airline because of its successful resilient spirit and warm service of our people,” Delta says.
The Atlanta-covered Delta currently operates a narrow body and wide body fleet that approaches about 1,000 aircraft.
Along with rival United Airlines, Delta has significantly outperformed other US carriers following the Covid-19 pandemic, and is in an increasingly dominant financial position. Delta reported full-year profits of nearly $3.5 billion for 2024.
