Sometimes we all have to eat food on the go – especially when we travel.
After all, we get hungry while waiting for a flight, so it's important to pick up some snacks and meals. However, one dad was shocked recently when he stocked up a burger for his family at a popular airport.
The man known as Travellingdad in Tiktok was recently left on the floor after buying food at Burger King at Türkiye's Antalya airport. He claimed he had a cost of £83.75 on the meal.
He said price hikes at popular holiday destinations were out of hand, so he thought prices were “unsavory.” In a video he posted online, he showed people what he got for his money.
In the clip, “I'm not a normal moan, but this guarantees a video. Be prepared for this. At Antarya Airport, £83.00 you get, like an envelope.
This comes after tourists have spoken about rising prices in Türkiye over the past few months. Some even claim that the area is “dead” because inflation has driven tourists away so much.
The video has been viewed more than 4,000 times since it was posted online, with thousands of people screaming for comments. These kinds of ideas are reflected in the comments.
“I've been to Antarya Airport, which is a very expensive one. In fact, Turkey is very expensive.”
Another wrote: The third person also replied, “Antariya Airport was very upset with prices. I went four times last year and saw them shoot.”
However, some people had different views. Some pointed out that they liked their destination, while others didn't understand why he paid the amount even though they weren't happy with the price.
“But you still complained after paying. That's why people charge these prices knowing that they have 'holiday money'. ”
Another wrote: “But trick you with paying it. I went last August. Everyone in Tiktok warned everyone about the cost. My family is McDonald – 2 adults, 2 children I paid over £100 to someone.
The third person also said, “Why did you buy it? It's not like someone was forced to make you pay it. All airports are expensive – don't eat at the airport.
Burger King has been asked to comment on the prices of meals at the airport.
