The Isle of Skye had 1.1 million large posts on Instagram, which had it as one of the best destinations for lovers to escape. Jak said: “Taliska Beach features towering cliffs, providing an iconic setting, and the mysterious Srigachan Bridge, bound by local legends, creates a magical atmosphere.
“The stunning views make it easy to see why this place is ranked so well.”
If you are planning to visit the area, one place you should not miss is Nist Point, home to beautiful scenery.
One Tripadvisor visitor said, “It's a great, scenic place to see some of Skye's amazing clips and coastlines.
“The walk to see the lighthouse is very steep.
“There's also a great view of the lighthouse without going down the valley. Just wandering around the cliff on the other side of the lighthouse and you'll get outstanding views.”
Another place you won't miss is the fairy pool, which you can always visit freely. Located in Glenburitt, this place features a beautiful rocky pool filled with mountain water flowing from a series of beautiful waterfalls.
If you're wondering where else they've created a list of the most romantic destinations, Glencoe was another top spot along with East Lothian and Isle of Mal and Finig Glenn's Seacliff.
Jak adds: “Glencoe's rugged beauty has gained a reputation as one of Scotland's most picturesque spots, and it's easy to see why it attracts so many social media posts.
“It's often called the Grand Canyon of Scotland. It's perfect for couples who love nature and adventure.”
