Packaging for cruise holidays is a slightly different beast than packing for an average holiday, as it tends to require more than usual.
Part of the fun of the cruise experience is dress-up that you can do while on board, with many cruise lines throwing formal or themed nights that come with the recommended dress code.
So, alongside the usual holiday ups of T-shirts and shorts, this means packing the best flocks, suits and dance shoes on this occasion.
However, passengers should note that some cruise lines have luggage weight restrictions, and like airlines there are strict restrictions on items allowed.
To ensure safety and security, cruise ships prohibit passengers from carrying certain items before and after the voyage. Canard is no exception.
Featuring Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Anne in its fleet, the gorgeous cruise line sails to destinations around the world, including its home port in Southampton, England.
But no matter what port departs from, Canard expects passengers to follow the rules of luggage and warns those who have placed prohibited items on board and forfeited forever.
Cruise Line said: “The safety and security of our ships is of paramount importance, and therefore it is prohibited to carry certain items onto the ship.
“A security screening for you and your baggage will be done every time you board a ship and if you own any of these items, it may be confiscated forever. This list is not exhaustive. , other items may be denied at the discretion of the port or ship security staff.”
