Royal Caribbean Sea Icon is the world's largest cruise ship and offers 2,805 private rooms. The giant cruiser can accommodate 5,610 passengers with twice as many residents or up to 7,600 guests, with plenty of options for cruise fans hoping to book a stay.
However, offering 28 different room types does not reflect the average cruise, but this decision remains very important for vacationers. Choosing the wrong cabin can lead to a noisy stay or bad movement for an unfortunate cruiser. Devoted cruise participants share their wisdom and propose specific locations for every ship.
When deciding which room to choose, the cruiser responded to the first timer worried about seasickness.
They explained that midship high decks or ship front/backlow decks are two options in the price range.
Sharing insights on Reddit thread R/Cruise, one user said:
“It's on a higher deck, but the midship is more stable than the movement you feel at the front or back. I think you'll ride there smoothly, so the Deck 9 midship should be a sweet spot.”
Several fellow Reddit users agreed, suggesting that seasickness is not as common as people think of such a huge ship, but pleads “convenient” appeals along the way.
Another created the catchy phrase, “The more payments you make, the more shaky it.”
Experts from cruise critics pointed out that this is generally true. They warned: “If you are prone to seasickness, you will want to avoid the cabin on the upper deck. The more you board the cruise ship, the more movement you will.”
Mobility is another factor that cruisers should consider when booking their cabins.
If you want to avoid spending a lot of time in the elevator, or if you don't want to get stairs, remember the number of decks you can find between the cabin and the main areas of your activity (dining rooms, theaters, atriums, etc.).
Cruise experts pointed out that if you are too low, you likely will have to wait for the elevator for a long time or climb the stairs and return to the cabin.
It's always good to take your step by climbing the stairs after indulging in the buffet.
