There's nothing worse than lining up your age before your holiday begins.

That's exactly what one UK traveler experienced and photographed at a major UK airport. Singer Mia Kirkland, who has over 400,000 followers on Tiktok, has shared a viral video of the endless security queue at Leeds Bradford airport, preparing for the flight.

She captioned the video with a dry dose of humor, writing “A Nice Jubley.” With 58% of the overall customer score, Leeds Bradford Airport ranked 13th out of 29 UK airports in 2024. Report.

According to 2023 government data in October 2024, more than half (52%) of UK air passengers reported clearing security within five minutes, with a large 36% queueing for at least 10 minutes.

    Another 13% waited 6-9 minutes.

In 2022, the longest average security queue for all UK airports was recorded in an estimated 35 minutes at Leeds Bradford Airport, and according to reports from 2019 to 2022, which one? We surveyed 1,300 travelers between February and August, and said the airport was due to a major return of international travelers after the pandemic.

However, opinions regarding the video were mixed.

One Tiktokker commented: “It depends on the time. It's something like this for the mornings from 5am to 7am and the afternoons from 2pm to 5pm, but it's actually fine.”

Someone else said: “No, I was 12 and this wasn't the case! I was currently sitting at the bar with wine.”

It is recommended that the airport arrive at least 2-3 hours before the scheduled departure time for your flight, especially during the peak day.

Airport peak hours are usually from 4am to 8am and 1pm to 4pm.
