The popular Italian city has been named the ultimate destination for a budget-friendly February half-year break ahead of Osaka and Madrid.

With just £31 and £134 per night, Milan offers unbeatable value.

If you want to explore world-class museums, eat authentic gelato and fresh pasta dishes, or soak in the unique fashion scene in February, Milan has a perfect mix of history and modern charm .

A study from Titan Travel states, “Milan is also an ideal choice for families and couples thanks to its affordable prices and abundant attractions.”

Hotel prices are 80% lower than their peak in April, so February offers the perfect time to enjoy the city's famous charm and culture.

The city, a recognized fashion capital of Wold, features a stunning shopping gallery at Vittorio Emanuele II, filled with high-end boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

Opened in 1877, this impressive gallery is one of the oldest shopping malls in the world and is an architectural gem that connects the Delomo Square in Duomo and the Della Scala Square.

Both squares are a must-see when visiting Milan, with the iconic Duomo Cathedral, which was amazed by tourists with its spectacular architecture and panoramic views from the rooftop.

Piazza Della Scala is located in the heart of the city and is most famous for being the home of the famous Teatro Alla Scala, one of the most famous opera houses in the world.

Opened in 1778, the theatre itself hosts some of the most famous operas and performances in history, making the Square a meeting point for music and art lovers.

Tourists visiting Milan did TripAdvisor on TripAdvisor, a travel website, with a passionate review telling their experiences.

Kimr77 stated: “I had to stop while traveling through Italy, so I decided to take a break in Milan and was thoroughly fascinated by this amazing walking city.

“We saw an exciting last night up, climbed up the roof and spire of the cathedral, met the top chef masters at the cafe and had some amazing meals. We loved Milan. !”

Emela S shares: “We've visited Milan twice so far, our first time in December last year, and our second time this year in August.

“The beauty of Milan is absolutely amazing. We were in one of the best restaurants ever.

“The people in Milan are friendly. They remembered us for the first time last year.”
