Captain Jet2 admits that “he'll be disappointed too” | Travel News | Travel

The captain of the Jet2 flight admitted that he was “troubled” after his plane was forced to land unexpectedly at a different destination than what was intended.

A passenger caught an outspoken speech to the cabin on video and later posted it to Tiktok after disembarking the night quite far from home. Emphasizing an unplanned field trip, she captioned, “Things I don't want to hear when I get home.”

In the clip, seeing the captain addressing the passengers, he said, “I am the captain of this flight. There was a medical emergency along the way here, so we ran out of time.” He went on to explain that the serious illness of another passenger caused a diversion to Venice, and that was not the end of their troubles.

Jet2 staff urged them to organize their hotel accommodations and transportation for an unexpected stay, but the ordeal was not convenient.

This sentiment echoed by the pilot, saying, “I'm not saying I'm sorry. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. If you're wearing your shoes, you'd be pretty disappointed.”

Conclusion of his announcement, he demanded patience.

Tiktok's videos are considered as phenomenal 2.2 million times, and many users of the platform quickly provide thoughts on the situation of passengers who have been temporarily left behind.

However, many of the people who confessed confessed that they would enjoy the delay in such a trip. One commented: “I was over the moon on the night in Cyprus that happened to us last year with 500 compensation and a night in Cyprus.”

Another agreed: “Free accommodation, free shipping, some compensation, what else can I ask for?”

A third party says, “If you go on vacation, you should expect these things to happen.

Meanwhile, the fourth Tiktok user said, “I will be the first person to return to the bar! I flew with Jet2 for about 10 years and became a great airline.”

However, the person behind the video did not share the same feelings. They answered sternly. “There was no bar and it was 5am when I got to my hotel room. I had to meet my representative for breakfast. Then I was exhausted in the lobby for a rescheduled flight at 9pm. Let's move on!

Separately, in a fierce explosion, she denounced the airline and vowed that she “not booked it with them again.”

Following the complaint, JET2 is invited to respond.
