We are blessed with the blissful growth of the transparent sky. Now is the ideal opportunity for a new outdoor adventure. Because itching to get out of the house for a scenic walk, we are spoiled for choice on the glorious trails that only throw away the stones.

This weekend will show you the perfect moments to discover new areas. And there's one amazing walk in Dorset that locals say they're “gatekeeping” for how beautiful and special it is.

The blue pool on Purbeck Island, a stunning peninsula in Dorset, is originally an abandoned clay hole that was flooded by stormwater, and now forms an incredible lake of ever-changing colours.

This is one of the region's most unique and interesting attractions. The blue pool is surrounded by 25 acres of incredible forests.

It opened as a tourist destination in the 1930s and has been loved by visitors ever since. Visitors love hiking the area, taking scenic photos and celebrating wildlife. A walk around the place will be completed within an hour and is suitable for those looking for a simple walk or looking for a challenge.

The site also features a sweet cafe and gift shop, a plant sales area and a children's play area. To visit the site, there is an admission fee of £7.50 for adults and £3.75 for 5 or more children. Children under the age of 5 can visit for free, and the site is dog-friendly.

Travel advisors claim that the blue pool is “very peaceful” and “great.” Some people have noticed that the water changes are constantly coloring, so don't think you'll see bright blue water every time.

The video showing the beauty of the spot has recently been shared on Tiktok and went viral. You can travel on the page. The post called the site “a hidden gem of the UK” and added, “I am sure this is where fairies need to live.”

This video features a bridge where kids can enjoy playing, a cozy corner for a picnic, an incredible huge tree, and of course, a bridge that enjoys Blue Pool Lake.

The poster also noted that parking is free. They also said, “We stayed at Cassign cottage campsite, a 10-minute drive away. It was a really nice campsite, with toilets and showers.”

People quickly commented after being left surprised by the footage.

“Ah, lovely Dorsett,” he commented. “I've been there a few times, it's great,” another insisted. One said it looked “very peaceful,” while another said it was “really a jewel.”

The other wrote: “This looks stunning and calm.” “Amazing, amazing!” another added. The other is, “Amazing, so lovely! It looks very green.”

Another observed: “It's a salary to get in, but it's really beautiful.”

    How to get there

Wareham is the closest town to Dorset's blue pool. You can drive, but Wareham also has its own Tran Station on the Southwest Line.

The site is also located near Corfe Castle and Furzebrook. The blue pool is located on Furzebrook Road, making Wareham a convenient access point for visitors.
