The British remain surprised after stumbling over a pharmacy that offers very different kinds of prescriptions.
Bookworm Amber Rose Cooper documented his trip to the property on London's bustling Oxford Street. “Why did I never hear about this place? It's a must for any book lover.”
Amber Rose continued, noting that the pharmacy is lush with cosmetics stores. “If you go upstairs, you'll find a small, small bookstore/café, which distributes small, tiny vials and bottles full of poetry,” she explained in a video of Tiktok.
Showing shelves that look very similar to traditional pharmacies, Amber Rose revealed that “medicine” can be “prescribed” to meet a wide range of emotions and opportunities. “One of my personal favorites is the “old & wise man” who specializes in the fear of birthday blue and old age,” she said.
Amber-Rose added: Furthermore, “treatment” included “the tortured poet” and “the curse of Shakespeare.”
Lifting up the “Revenge” bottle, Amber Rose continued. “I especially enjoyed reading the back label. “Revenge” said “opposes betrayal of deep wound satisfaction.”
Amber Rose has closed its guide to pharmacies and sells poetry books, books about writing, other “cute little book gifts” and “adorable scratch card poems.” Back to the pharmaceutical theme, she also found a series of small boxes containing “poetry first aid kits.” This was described as the “perfect gift” for friends who live far away.
Heading towards Till with a bottle of “venge,” Amber Rose was delighted to learn that staff could even write unique prescriptions for the medication. “I thought it was a lot of fun,” she gushed out, providing an image of a note that directed her to “drink a glass of peach iced tea in the afternoon while listening to your favourite instrumental music.” ”
Writing accordingly, other Tiktok users were fascinated by the discovery of Amber Rose. “I can't believe I've never heard of or seen this place!” one person confessed. “I'll plan a visit soon.”
Second addition: “Why haven't you heard this? It looks incredible.” The third agreed: “OMG this is the best I've ever seen.” Meanwhile, a fourth Tiktok user cried out: “Ah, this is so cool! Back to London!”
On its website, the Poetry Pharmacy reveals that it has a second branch with its original store in a more rural setting at Bishop Castle in Shropshire. “The world's first poetry pharmacy offers walk-in prescriptions, literary gifts and books to deal with all your emotional illnesses,” he says.
“Come visit a beautiful Victorian store in the small town of the Bishop's castle in Shropshire, browse the bookstores, pause at the pharmacy cafe and prescribe coffee, tissanes, soda and sorbet to lift your spirits.”
And at the Oxford Street store, “The Poetry Pharmacy found a second home on the first floor of the Oxford Street Spa in Rush. It stocks books and other literary crafts specially curated for self-repair, and has its own dispensing coffee house offering coffee from 100 homes and delicate cakes from local roasters.”
