British people were told to avoid “costly mistakes” when using taxis in Benidorm | Travel News | Travel

If you're flying to Benidorm this summer, beware of Britt's advice, who has become a local expert. Harry, known as @harrytokky on Tiktok, issued a “warning” to fellow holiday makers about the risk of being “a false taxi” in the area.

He warns that these fake taxis could be merely “random strangers' cars.” In his Tiktok clip, Harry pledges to let viewers know which taxis are reliable and which should be avoided to ensure safety in a bustling party town.

He claims that “in Benidorm there is only one type of taxi you should go to,” explaining it as “a white car with a blue stripe in the middle.”

Harry points out that these legal taxis usually have “light on the top of the roof,” showing either green or red. “If they are red, taxis are used,” he explains, but if the light is green, taxis can be hired.

He ensures that these will “take you to your destination and take you to your destination safely and securely.” Harry advises: “Man, if you're out to Benidorm, they're the only taxi you should be looking for, as you don't want to get into a random stranger's car.”

The conversation extends to the comments section. Someone said, “What about Uber? The last time I was there, I used the Uber from Benidorm Old Town to the airport. It was a normal black car.”

Some travelers report successful use of Uber during their stay, while others have encountered difficulties.

Visitors to Benidorm suggested trying out the “Pide app” and praise its simplicity. Harry agreed: “I fully agree with you. I should have mentioned it.”

Another individual spoke of positive experiences with the Pide app throughout his time in Benidorm, explaining that he offers “great service.”

For those who prefer traditional methods, Radio Taxi Beni Dome offers reliable official taxi services and can be contacted by phone within the area.

In an online discussion, one man recommended looking for a taxi in “blue stripes” to ensure reliability. Please note that during peak season, calling a taxi from a taxi rank may prove more difficult due to high demand.

For increased security, we recommend requesting hotels to arrange taxi pickups or call on behalf of the restaurant.

It is wise to check Google's ratings before choosing a taxi service, but we always recommend thorough online research for the best experience.
