Benidorm's Brit issues “serious warning” to tourists after “strange” experiences | Travel News | Travel

After seven years of living in Benidorm, Britt issued a “serious warning” to visitors after getting caught up with the police. Harry Tockey was stopped and searched by the police as he was filming content live for his Virgin Tiktok channel, which he called a “very strange” experience.

Tiktoker said he was told to clean up the phone. This said he was caught all while he was broadcast live before he followed the police. He urged Britons to be cautious and safe at Benidorm, a popular tourist spot, and last year reported the second highest drug trafficking rate in Alicante.

In a video posted three days ago, he warned: “This is a serious warning for anyone coming to Benidorm.

“The police came to me and said, 'Random searches will turn off the phone now.'

“They took everything out of my pocket, checked everything, and see if there were holes in the pockets. It was very strange.

Harry advises that the police have the power to stop and search, and he insists you cannot refuse. Otherwise you could be arrested.

In the UK, police cannot stop and search if they have “reasonable grounds” to suspect they are carrying illegal drugs, weapons, stolen property, or anything that can be used to commit crimes such as clover.

Many people are happy with the check, with one user saying “good behaviour to maintain security and secure Benidorm.”

Data from the Minister's interior shows that Benidorm has the second most drug trafficking case in the Alicante area last year. Last year, the population is much larger at 352 behind Alicante, which is behind the city of Alicante.

Another visitor, Cameron Goby, responded to Harry and said he had the same experience. “I was in Benidorm last week and was randomly checked with my cousin.”

Another user claimed that he had a very positive experience. “It happened to me in Alicante, when they finished searching for me, I ask together a picture of us lol I know, I bumped into one of the policemen in the bar and he bought me a few pints.”
