Belarus' Career Belavia confirms the introduction of A330 for long distance operations

Belarus' Carrier Bellavia has intervened in its normal widebody business with the introduction of the Airbus A330S despite international sanctions on airlines.

Bellavia says it has entered a “new era” with “a completely new type of aircraft” for the A330-200.

It says this will allow you to operate long-distance flights and open new routes.

“A lot of people are waiting for this,” he adds.

According to Bellavia, the Rolls-Royce Trent 700-powered aircraft consists of 281 seats in two classes, including 18 in business cabins.

The carrier said it has implemented preparations such as training pilots, technicians and cabin crews, and has devised new processes for maintenance, baggage loads and board services.

Bellavia operates a Western-built type of fleet, including the Boeing 737 (737 Max), and the regional MHIRJ CRJS and EMBRAER E-JETS.

However, it restructured its network and found an alternative source of aircraft for fleet expansion, with sanctions imposed on the Lukashenko regime.

Bellavia has not specified the source of the A330S.

However, it shows that three A330-200s (MSNS 491, 509 and 525 were originally delivered to Emirates but operated by airlines including Turkish Honor Air) have been moved to Bellavia via Gambian organizations.

In March this year, news outlet Reuters reported that the aircraft was being acquired from a Gambian company called Magic Air.
