Beautiful sandy beaches and “worst British seaside resort” protected by fans | UK | Travel

South Shields, a coastal town in northern England, was once called the second worst beach location in the country by telegraph's “seaside gentlemanship index.”

The index rated 100 different seaside resorts out of 100 based on factors such as homes, high streets, renovations, and protection.

We also took into account how these destinations have evolved or failed over the past 30 years.

The South Shields are near the bottom of this list and surpassed Rhyl in North Wales with a disappointing score of just 11/100.

However, not everyone shares this negative view of the South Shield.

In 2022, one of its beaches, Sandhaven-, was recognized as one of the UK's top 50 beaches. The dramatic background of its golden sand, navy blue sea sea, troll lock and wreath south makes it easy to understand why.

The historic architecture of Tynemouth in the north adds a cinematic touch to the beach. Sand Haven Beach, previously won a Blue Flag Award for its cleanliness and excellent facilities, has received enthusiastic reviews on TripAdvisor, reports Miller.

One visitor from Birmingham wrote: Northern, it's worth it. ”

Another rave review: “I never heard of this beach until I spoke to locals at a nearby pub. What a fun surprise! I think this is probably the most beautiful and beautiful beach area in the UK.

South Shields, home to Little Mix's Perry Edwards and Jade Thurwall, boasts more than just celebrity connections.

The Telegraph also shed light on local dining hotspots, saying, “It's not that South Shields have no choice in itself. Something like Bravi, Italian, Mambo and cozy Davincy can make towns more Italian. Ensures that it is strong in language and comfortable dining in the Mediterranean.

“The cave is a high quality hotel.”
