    Zimbabwe is experiencing a travel boom as tourists flock to the country.

    The country is a popular tourist destination due to its amazing natural wonders, especially the world-famous Victoria Falls.

    Africa's tourism sector is experiencing a remarkable resurgence, with Kenya, Zimbabwe, Djibouti, Botswana, Namibia, Mauritania, Madagascar, Angola, Nigeria and Ghana leading the way, Travel and Tour World reports. There is.

    This resurgence highlights Africa's potential as a world-class tourist destination, with each country offering unique travel experiences.

    The continent has played a key role in the global recovery of the tourism industry after the pandemic, recording an impressive growth of 6% compared to 2019 levels.

    This makes Africa one of the few regions to outperform its pre-pandemic performance.

    Zimbabwe allows visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to nationals of several countries, making it easier for international travelers to explore African destinations.

    Tourists come from far and wide to witness breathtaking waterfalls, experience thrilling activities like whitewater rafting, and explore the vast wildlife sanctuaries of Hwange and Mana Pools. Masu.

    In 2024, Zimbabwe experienced a significant increase in tourism. In the first quarter alone, the number of foreign arrivals was recorded at 409,979, an increase of more than 83% compared to the same period in 2023.

    Tourism receipts rose by 22% to £876.7m, with international tourist arrivals reaching 1.6m, a significant increase from 1m in 2022.

    Zimbabwe is making it easier than ever for tourists from 65 countries to visit its iconic destinations without the hassle of visas.

    Travelers from South Africa, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana or Eswatini can now explore Zimbabwe without a visa.

    Travelers from as far away as Singapore, Malaysia and the Bahamas can now visit without any paperwork.

    For people from Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana and Bolivia, entry is now easier than ever with the option of a visa on arrival.

    The move is aimed at making Zimbabwe's treasures more accessible, and it is clear that Zimbabwe wants more visitors.

    The country offers smooth roads for travelers to experience adventure-packed safaris, ancient rock art in the Matobo Hills, and warm hospitality.

    Zimbabwe's leadership is betting big on tourism as a driver of economic growth, and these new visa rules are opening the country wide open to the rest of the world.
