The organizers are pleased to announce that James Hogan, CEO of a well-known airline and current investor, will be speaking at the event.

Australia's Hogan played a leadership role in the aviation industry, including Etihad Airways and Gulf Airlines.

James was president and CEO of Etihad Airlines Group from 2006 to 2017, during which he transformed the airline into a major global player with a diverse interest in Air Seychelles, Air Berlin, Air Serbia and Alitalia.

After leaving his Abu Dhabi career, he founded Knighthood Capital, a financial investment company and consulting firm at the UAE headquarters. He joined the company by former Etihad CFO and is now joined by James Rigney, CEO of Knighthood, who will speak at the Kigali Summit.

Knighthood strongly believes in the future of aviation in Africa.

The company was recently appointed by the Mozambique government to advise on the restructuring of Ram Mozambique.

Maputo-based LAM has experienced some turbulence in recent years, including financial difficulties, management changes, network cuts and operational disruptions, with some of its own aircraft not being served.

Hogan, Ligney and the team are working with new Ram shareholders to work together in a restructuring that includes the goal of procuring appropriate aircraft, reestablishing the fleet and reviewing Ram's governance as part of the process.

Former Air Serbia CEO Dane Kondic will also speak at the airline panel.

“We are excited to see Hogan, Ligney and Conditch stay with us in Kigali,” Summit President Alan Peaford said. “They all have experienced highs and lows in the airline business, but they have great insights. The LAM project will be very interesting.”

The two-day summit will be held on September 4th and September 5th at the Kigali Convention Centre (KCC), alongside the Radisson Blu Hotel.
