Lesson BOC Aviation has signed a lease agreement with Avianca, the Latin American operator of New Airbus A320neos.
The long-term lease agreement covers nine A320Neos equipped with the CFM International Leap-1A engine. The first of the nine jets will be released in 2027, adds The Lersor.
The transaction follows a 2020 order by BOC Aviation for the new A320Neos, of which 10 have been placed in Avianca. According to airline business data, the airline has 47 A320neos in its fleet.
“We're looking forward to seeing you in the world,” said Steven Townend, chief of BOC Aviation.
