The UK-based SkyTeam Alliance Carrier Virgin Atlantic is opening its services to Seoul, South Korea's capital, ahead of next summer season. Virgin Atlantic says it will use a Boeing 787-9 to operate the route daily from London Heathrow. The plan was revealed as a new route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, began on April 23rd. The Seoul route will begin on March 29th, 2026. Lender BOC Aviation has deployed five Airbus A321neos at Thai Airways International. The five aircraft are likely from an early announcement contract in 2023. Star Alliance operators said five A321neos would arrive in 2025. The new narrow body will feature the CFM International Leap-1A engine.
