We are proud to announce that ATTA® Action Awards is back in their second year. It continues to honor organizations across the travel and tourism sector in Africa that lead with purpose, innovation and measurable impact.
Following the huge success of its 2024 launch, which welcomed over 90 entries, the 2025 program continues to celebrate its eight ATTA® parallel initiatives in Action Pillar inspired by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These awards are open to organizations across the travel value chain, from accommodation providers and activity suppliers to nonprofits and international buyers.
The winners of the award will be announced and celebrated at a special ceremony on June 23, 2025.
This year we look forward to introducing two new awards that reflect the priorities of the evolving industry.

Core Awards Category:
ATTA® Purpose & People Awards
They recognize extraordinary leadership in providing concrete benefits to the community while maintaining their cultural heritage. ATTA® Earth Keepers Award
We celebrate the experiences of ethical wildlife and innovative conservation models that protect risky ecosystems. ATTA®Eco-In Novation Award
Emphasises the adoption of technologies or practices that reduce the environmental footprint or mitigate the impact of climate change. ATTA®Zero Waste Trailblazer Award
Celebrating sustainable food systems in hospitality, including local sourcing, water-saving methods, and waste reduction strategies. ATTA® Community Uplift Award
It focuses on projects that create long-term social value through access to education, health services, or comprehensive employment channels. ATTA® Marine Impact Award
Through restoration or policy advocacy efforts, it highlights efforts to protect marine biodiversity along Africa's coastline. ATTA® Collaborative Impact Award
Recognize partnerships between the public/private/nonprofit sectors collectively working towards shared sustainability goals. The Atta® Traveler Education & Awareness Award praises the program through its travel journey. It supports visitors to adopt responsible behavior through storytelling and experiential learning.

They use reward journalists or creators using engaging storytelling rooted in ethics and accuracy, and engaging storytelling that encourages conscious travel decisions about Africa. ATTA®EmergingChangeMaker Award
Celebrating small businesses and nonprofits, launching early stage projects that already show potential for transformational impact.
