The African premier event dedicated to Aeronautics and Space Innovation is back. The African Aerospace Innovation Trophy (ASIT), hosted by the African Aerospace Agency (AASO), will hold its fourth awards ceremony on November 6th, 2025 at the prestigious Cite de Espers in Tauruse, France. This prominent event brings together industry leaders, researchers, public agencies and key stakeholders working to advance the aerospace sector in Africa.
The biennial ASIT trophies celebrate African or diaspora individuals or organizations whose groundbreaking achievements in aerospace science and technology have made a significant contribution to the continent's sustainable development. After recognizing Burkina Faso (2019), Nigeria (2021), and Rwanda (2023), the 2025 edition pays tribute to him, Chairman of the African Space Council, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in advancing the African Space Sector.
This year's program promises to be dynamic and insightful. The day begins with opening addresses from AASO presidents and institutional leaders, followed by three important roundtables examining the current state of the African space sector, women's involvement in the space industry, and the African Space Space Project. The highlight of the event is the official presentation of the ASIT 2025 Awards to Dr. Outara, accompanied by a tour of the innovation stands showing cutting-edge aerospace solutions across Africa and beyond.
ASIT 2025 is designed not just as a celebration, but as a platform for knowledge exchange, strategic dialogue and business development. B2B meetings are held throughout the day and provide unique networking opportunities for participants. The event will also feature a guided tour of Citedes Perth, offering guests an immersive journey into the world of space exploration and science.
ASIT 2025 is supported by a variety of African and European partners and offers a variety of participation and visibility options, including exhibition stands, sponsorship packages (platinum, gold, silver), and the prestigious “Guest Country/Honorary Facilities” status that guarantees first-class exposure. It is a unique opportunity for businesses, startups and institutions to present innovation to high-level decision makers in Africa and strengthen their position in the global aerospace ecosystem.
ASIT 2025 is more than an awards ceremony. This is a showcase for a moving continent, reaching the stars and using space as a catalyst for innovation, cooperation and inclusive development.
