    The Maldives are famous for their quiet luxury. A water villa with a plunge pool, candle dinner on the beach and of course a private butler. However, hospitality entrepreneur Ahmed Siyam Mohamed understood that some guests actually want to raise the volume during their holidays. For those travelers, he took a great risk and spent an estimated $400 million to build Siyam World, a comprehensive resort on Noon Atoll. Activities at the property include horse ranches, go-kart tracks, hydrofoil e-bikes and jet cars.

Inspired by Probancal, the Villa Laguittière was originally built in the 1970s and has undergone many years of renovations to reach standards for up to 21st century, including spas, wine cellars and private screening rooms. Prices for the 9-bedroom compound start at around $73,000 per night
