Located near Caernarfon, the Fron Goch Garden Center crowns the best garden centre in the UK. It has proven popular with both local residents and visitors from other locations flocking to its famous displays and cafes. The prestigious British Garden Centre Association (GCA) welcomes the country's best Gotchi of 2024.
GCA inspector Alison Haywood praised Gotch, saying “the centre of a wonderful garden with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere that focuses heavily on environmental sustainability and local sourcing.” Meanwhile, GCA CEO Peter Burks commented on the high standards within the association. “Through the annual inspection, we can see that Member Garden Centers have the highest standards in the industry.”
He continued. “Every year, our members move from strength to strength, and the competition to reach the top spot is even more heated and contested, and all of our worthy winners should be extremely proud of the example we have set for others.
“I would like to congratulate them all on their remarkable commitment to ensuring they receive a truly positive experience when visiting them.”
The Fron Goch team said, “Achieving such a compliment is not an easy task. The standards set by all 215 centres across the UK, part of the GCA and Garden Center industry, are extremely high at the best in the business.
“We can't thank the incredible team enough. This is our testimony to them, their passion, their pride, their belief in us.”
The venue was also popular on TripAdvisor, with one reviewer saying, “A lovely garden centre with a lovely restaurant. The dining area is very modern and clean.
“The staff are absolutely lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious. You get the quality you pay for.
“We only had lunch today, but on a previous visit we had cakes. This is very tasty. There are indoor seating and great outdoor seating with nice greenery around you.
“A great gluten-free option (even in part of the cake). I highly recommend this place.”

“Everything about our visit was amazing from the greetings of the woman who showed us to our table and all the wait staff.
“The food we had was unable to manage the pudding, but we bought a slice of lemon meringue pie, which we now enjoy over tea.
“It's tasty. I'll visit again when we're in the area. The shops and garden centre are also lovely.”
