Brits attempting to return home from their popular holiday destinations are forced to wait as firefighters fight the horrifying flames. A bushfire in Turkey's vibrant coastal city of Izmir forced Adnan Mendez Airport to ground all flights. According to Flightradar, the 9pm flight to Hanover has been cancelled and is 9:05pm to Cologne. Plus, there's an x at Trabzon at 9:15pm, and the same goes for the arrival from Ankara at 9:15pm local time.
Visitors will travel through Izmir for ancient sites such as Ephesus, its stunning bazaar and beautiful coastline along the Aegean Sea. Currently, there are British Airways, Witha Air and Bristol direct flights from London's Heathrow.
