Airlink has announced the launch of direct service between Cape Town and Gaboron, starting on April 1, 2025. The new route will run three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday using the 44-seat Embraer E140 regional jet. According to Airlink CEO Rodger Foster, the service is designed to meet the growing demand from both business and leisure travelers, providing a seamless connection to international destinations through Cape Town.
Additionally, Airlink has been increasing its Johannesburg Nairobi service on three nightly road flights a week since March 30, 2025. The airline will also increase the frequency of the Johannesburg Grusakha route, raising weekly return flights from the 13th to 21st, including new morning and afternoon options. These expansions are intended to provide travelers with regional flexibility and enhanced connectivity.
