South African airline Airlink is set up to increase regional connectivity with the increase in flights to Hoedspruit in South Africa and Burawayo in Zimbabwe. Starting March 30, 2025, airlines will introduce triple-diley services between Johannesburg or Tambo International Airport and Wheed Spool, but flights from Cape Town to Haedsprutes will rise twice daily. Additionally, starting March 31, 2025, Airlink will add six return flights per week between Johannesburg and Bulawayo, increasing from 13 to 19 flights per week.

The increased capabilities of Hoedspruit, a key gateway to Kruger National Park and Private Game Reserve, reflect the growing demand for wildlife tourism. Meanwhile, the expansion schedule to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe's second largest city, will strengthen links for both business and leisure travelers, improving access to local cultural and historic sites, such as Matobo National Park. The expansion of these routes is consistent with Airlink's strategy, strengthening regional links and supporting tourism growth across South Africa.
