The bank holidays may be almost over, but many of us look forward to more holidays later this month. And as the weather looks bright and warm, it may be the perfect time to take a leisurely walk.
Most of us have had an even longer weekend this year. Many people go out with friends, plan activities with their kids, or relax at home, but some of us will choose to spend the day outdoors.
If you want to escape from your hometown and go for a nice walk, there are plenty of options. Whether you’re looking for a long, hill hike or a short, less taxable route, there are plenty of options in the UK.
One woman argues that this stunning place where you can see “on the clouds” and you look like a wild horse is definitely worth a visit. She can’t believe it’s in the UK. On Tiktok, @Millie.Margot said:
With over 24,000 followers, Millie felt she was “above the clouds on Cloud 9.”
Located next to the charming little market town church Stretton, Longmin’s Carding Mill Valley offers a lovely introduction to the views of Shropshire.
This area is very popular for walking, hiking and running, and the route is considered moderate with difficult conditions. It usually takes about 3 hours to complete. The peaceful place will fill up with forests, hills and streams, and along the way you will find sheep, lambs and wild horses.
The National Trust states, “You can enjoy brace walks, challenging bike rides, wild swims, enjoying the family and enjoying the views. Shropshire’s Carding Mill Valley offers plenty of places to play and get close to nature.
There is also a 24/7 parking, with tea and toilet facilities available from 10am to 5pm. The best times to visit the trails are from January to October. Expect the place to get busy on weekends and during school holidays.
Commenting on Millie’s viral video, one individual said, “Carding Mill Valley is beautiful. Incorporate shooter trains and long minordos to seek out a spectacular view into Wales.”
“I’m about five minutes away from there so I’m lucky to live there,” the resident commented. Another said: “This is 20 minutes from where I live. I love living in Shropshire.”
“I’m very fortunate because I love my hometown county,” another thank you said. “It looks beautiful, the view is spectacular,” another added. They claimed each other as “my favorite walking spot.”
“OMG! This is gorgeous, I need to go,” he wrote another.
