Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, the hidden gems will need to add the island of Karimnos to your travel bucket list. This picturesque Greek island near KOS was crowned the cheapest location in a survey that analyzed over 4,500 package holidays in 15 countries last year.

Which consumer champion? Price comparisons were conducted in the first week of August to identify the most affordable package holiday deals. They concluded that this charming Greek island offers the most cost-effective packaged vacation in Europe. Part of a group on Dodecanese Island, this small paradise has secluded beaches and clear waters.

Kalymnos is recognized as one of the best rock crimming destinations in the world. The island is equipped with a variety of climbing routes, suitable for climbers of all abilities, from beginners to veteran experts.

Climbing spots such as Grande Grotta and Panorama offer awe-inspiring views of the Aegean Sea. Other interesting points include museums, churches, and archaeological sites such as Chora Castle and the archaeological museum of Karimnos.

Karimnos is an island with activities that boast 15 idyllic beaches, including the famous Masoli Beach, Milties Beach and Cantouni Beach, each offering clear water and breathtaking panoramas.

Visitors are also drawn to the Sponge Factory, a homage to the island's sponge fishing industry. The Sea World Museum shines among many cultural attractions and houses private trobes of voyage relics such as seashells, sponges and corals.

Other notable museums include the archaeological museum, folk museum and maritime museum. Attractions such as Kreis Sosheria Castle, Christian Church and Kefala Caves add to the island's charm.

A convenient travel option consists of a direct flight from Athens to Karimnos or a flight to KOS followed by a ferry ride for people traveling from the UK.

Those lucky enough to discover this hidden gem are totally fascinated by the splendor of nature.

TripAdvisor users erupted about the village of Karimnos and described it as a “great place.”

They said: “It's a typical image of a place in the Aegean/Mediterranean dreams. If you really want to enjoy it, walk down the narrow streets and stop by one of the many tavernas in the harbor.”

Another traveler wrote: “It's always a joy to come back here. Find friendly people in one of the truly authentic Dodecan Greek islands in the East (visit Stukas Taverna in Potia!).

The third reviewer highlighted the charm of the island, saying, “To buy all the advice to buy a nice church and cheap store in a great place, the small island allows you to cross the water over the sand, as one or two shops take the card.
