Accor's takeoff in 2025! The challenge is local and enables students to develop comprehensive hospitality solutions tailored to the needs of their real world local areas.
Accor is starting its 14th update of Take Off! Student challenge. In 2025, we are taking a transformational step by bringing competition closer to our local markets and ensuring greater inclusiveness, accessibility and real-world impact.
Accor took off for over 13 years! Student challenges are a global stage of innovation, encouraging students to rethink the future of hospitality through bold and visionary ideas. By directly engaging with a team on the ground, participants gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience, preparing them for careers in the dynamic world of hospitality operations. To date, nearly 6,500 students from diverse backgrounds across five continents have participated in the initiative.
Take off this year! Evolving into local competition, the global English format will be replaced by country-specific challenges made by pilot groups of pilot groups including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Brazil, China, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Mexico, and more. It's more than just competition, takeoff! 2025 is an opportunity for students to become immersed in real life hospitality challenges and discover the industry firsthand, ensuring that all proposed ideas are concrete, practical and deeply related to the daily reality of hospitality.
Take Offer! 2025 edition! Students will challenge themselves to develop innovative initiatives that will increase accessibility and inclusiveness across Accor hotels, ensuring that all guests feel truly welcome. At Accor, accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of our mission, and Paris 2024 Games served as a catalyst for improving ways to deal with disabled travelers. Over 400 Accor hotels are certified based on the French government's “Tourism & Handicap” certification, ensuring that the hotel meets the specific needs of all guests by offering a high-quality accessibility approach and promoting comprehensive tourism. By encouraging students to rethink hotel accessibility, they aim to break down barriers and promote innovative solutions that enhance the guest experience for individuals with diverse needs. This business case reflects our deep commitment to creating a more inclusive and welcoming hospitality industry for everyone.
“At Accor, we believe that the future of hospitality is in the hands of the next generation. By localizing the challenges, hospitality must not only enable students to develop real-world solutions, but also strengthen their commitment to hospitality, hospitality must be all welcome,” said Laurence Dambrine, Chief Talent & Culture Officer at Accor.
