The direct flight route from Manchester and London will be a bit known next year on Greek islands. Jet2 launched a new flight and holiday package to Samos in the summer of 2026, introducing the idyllic Greek island as its 15th Greek destination.
Up to two flights per week will be held from May 5, 2025 to October 30, 2026, and from October 30, 2025 to October 30, 2026, and from October 30, 2025 to October 30, 2026, the same two-week connections are offered from October 30, 2025 to October 7, 2026. October.
The package comes in parallel with the launch of over 30 hotel Jet2holidays at six attractive Samos resorts, including Samos Town, Kampos, Kokkari, Pythagorion, Karlovasi and Balos. Samos is located near the turkey coast and has “golden grain beaches” scattered along the “glittering” Aegean Sea, according to Jet2. Also, if you have a variety of historical sites and want a car-free holiday, you can visit the island to Samos without vehicles on any of multiple ferry routes.
A TripAdvisor reviewer explained that he was “pictured” as declaring he would be visiting the island again. Helen wrote: “I visited Samos for the week of September. This was my first visit. I stayed in Pythagorio, a cozy little town within walking distance. I didn't have time to explore everything about this rather large island.
Located on the south coast, three miles west of Pythagorö, the Helion is the lush place of Zeus' wife Hera and the birthplace of mythology. Three temples were built in honor from the 8th to 6th centuries BC. Of these, the last temple built under 535BC polycrates was a world wonder, 358 feet long, 180 feet wide and 82 feet tall. It is bigger than the Parthenon in Athens. Only one of the enormous pillars is still 36 feet long and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Archaeological Museum of Samo in Bati offers artefact clutches from the site while the Archaeological Museum of Pythagorion gives to the town. The exhibit, where the bathhouse ruins and mosaics display the floor villa, includes a precious vase and amphora from 800c BC.
After much of the infrastructure, the Eupalinus tunnel is a very long aqueduct that cuts straight through Mount Castro above the town. The island is also famous for its sweet wines derived from the mist of 1200BC. You can explore at Bati's Samos Wine Museum.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, expressed his excitement about adding Samos to its Greek offerings. He states: “The launch of Samos on the 26th of the Summer gives you access to holiday makers and independent travel agents to this beautiful Greek island, and the opportunity to enjoy authentic Greek slices from Manchester and London's Stansted airports gives you an exclusive opportunity.”
He added: “By adding this brand new gateway to our portfolio, we are expanding our presence across Greece, appealing to vacationers looking for a laid back Greek island experience, offering even more options for our customers and independent travel agents.
“After experiencing consistent demand from villas who want to explore Greece, we are sure that these new flights and holidays will be popular with customers looking for beaten track style holidays.
The exclusive route operates from Manchester Airport and offers up to two flights per week between May 5th and October 30th, 2025. London Stansted Airport will offer up to two services per week from May 7, 2025 to October 29, 2026. Baggage allowance, friendly flight times.
The announcement comes as airlines broaden their horizons with additional routes to European destinations and introduce new exclusive flights from the UK.
