If you're planning a summer vacation and want to save as much cash as possible, accommodation may not be the first thing you think of – not a five-star hotel in particular. But which new research is it from? We have revealed the cheapest luxury hotels in the world.
Travel experts sifted through a list of hotels advertised as five stars on hotels.com. Researchers ruled out property in hotels with customer ratings lower than eight out of ten, or in places that are particularly difficult to reach. Which hotel is the cheapest from 76 countries? Looking at it, we found the Emerald Bay Hotel & Spa in NHA Trang, Vietnam. At a bargain price of £22 per night, guests can enjoy ocean views on the rooftop terrace and access to the private beach. One guest called the hotel “hidden jewels.”
Vietnam is a luxurious destination renowned for its rich culture and incredible experiences like Ha Gang Loop. This is a 370km road trip that took place over four days on a bike that stops the jaw dropping scenery.
One of the most incredible places in Vietnam is Han Son Dun, the largest cave in the world. It is over 200 meters tall. This means it's big enough to fit a 40-storey skyscraper. The tunnel is 5 km long. It is very large and has its own climate and a jungle within it. Clouds form in the cave thanks to changes in temperature from the outside heat that encounters the cold air inside the cave.
However, it's not easy to get there. To visit this amazing cave, you will need to trek through the jungle for half a day to get there. You will need to kneel deep down the river to reach this jaw dropping point.
It is also fairly exclusive – you can visit the caves of Kembang National Park every year, fight over tourism and protect this natural wonder. Visitors can work with one tour operator, working with Vietnamese government officials, to ensure that the caves are protected.
However, if you choose to visit Vietnam and experience its wild beauty, you can easily rest in a cheap luxury hotel and make sure you are ready for the next day's exploration.
Rory Boland, which editor? The trip states: “The five-star hotel may seem too expensive for the average holiday maker, but we found an impressive level of luxury at just £22 per night.
“If you can afford a flight, there are the cheapest five-star hotels in Southeast Asia, but there are plenty of affordable options close to your home, even if you don't want to travel before.”
